Nicolette Richer is an Orthomolecular Health Educator, Psych-Kinaesthetic Facilitator, and Founder of The Green Moustache—an organic restaurant and juice bar with three locations in British Columbia—as well as the CEO/Owner of the Richer Health Clinic.
In addition to running multiple businesses—while simultaneously finishing her Doctorate in Social Sciences—she’s also the mother of 3 beautiful girls.
Nicolette knows—on a personal level—that when life is full and busy, it’s not always easy to make your health a top priority. But taking care of your body is not “optional”—it’s mandatory. As Jim Rohn points out, “It’s the only place you have to live.”
Nicolette is intensely passionate about helping people to prevent- and conquer- serious diseases through nutrition, detoxification, and positive stress shifting tools. Marie-Lynn is always looking at the bright side of life! As the Director of Operations, she ensures the smooth running of day-to-day activities at the retreat centre. From a young age, Marie-Lynn has had a strong desire to help and care for those around her.
Marie-Lynn is passionate about achieving optimum health through nutrition and how human health and environment health are inextricably linked. She is a firm believer that anything is possible when you take control of your health, enabling you to grow mentally and physically stronger.
In her free time, you will find Marie-Lynn cooking or enjoying the great BC outdoors – hiking, gardening or biking.
Katherine Smyth, R.Ac. Registered Acupuncturist
Kat is a licensed acupuncturist, personal trainer, counselor, yoga teacher and energy worker, with over 9 years of post-secondary schooling in the health industry. In 2004, Kat received her diploma in counseling from Durham College and then went on to study health science at SFU in 2006-2007.
Kat graduated from an intensive 5-year doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture program in 2011 from PCU College of Holistic Medicine and proceeded to complete an osteopath program in 2016.
Since 2003, Kat has gained experience as a personal trainer and has trained some of the top athletes, coaches and trainers in Vancouver. Specializing in postural, corrective, functional and mobility type exercises, Kat has also extensively studied yoga – completing her yoga teaching training in Tibetan heart yoga in 2006.
Kat uses a variety of therapies such as acupuncture, cupping, Gui Sha, Tui Na (Chinese massage), functional corrective exercise, stretching and mobility movements, yoga and meditation, soft tissue and energy work.
Specialising in her practice in sports medicine and performance, pain management and injury prevention, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, chronic disease and immune disorders and stress management.
Tina Pashumati James, Yoga Instructor
Tina found yoga after a near-fatal moment when she was hit by a drunk driver while riding her horse. Her injury would bring her to learn forgiveness and wellness for the Self.
In India, she met her first teacher, Shri K Pattabhi Jois, and his son Manju, who would set her on a path to become an advanced certified 800-hour Jivamukti teacher, Ashtanga yoga therapy teacher and certified by Manju Jois European School of Ashtanga Yoga.
Her BC-renowned classes are infused with humor and love. Having worked as a medic for Whistler ski patrol, she is no stranger to illness and injury. Her 30-year journey has brought her to teaching yoga therapy, adapting postures for rehab for serious injuries and taking a different approach to assisting for total self-transformation.
Tina now trains yoga teachers and health professionals to adapt yoga therapy for people with cancer, auto-immune diseases, depression, trauma and other chronic illnesses.
“Always look for the light,” says Tina, who experienced cancer in 2014. She credits the practice of pranayama, mantra, kriyas and specific yoga therapy with saving her life. Tina’s given spiritual name, Pashumati, means ‘protector of the wild animals’. As a lifelong vegan, she is an advocate for raw and vegan food and the Gerson Therapy.
Piper Martin, Classical Homeopath
Piper Martin, B.Ed., RCS Homeopath, offers classical homeopathic care from a solid background of training and 18 years of clinical experience. Through the homeopathic consult, you will discover how the patterns of mental, emotional and physical aspects of your life have lead you to your current state.
Using homeopathy you will be able to connect with who you really are and make choices that create happiness and physical well being. During your time at the center, you will meet with Piper in person for an initial two-hour consult. You will receive a constitutional remedy – this means a remedy that matches who you are both physically and emotionally.
Homeopathy is very straightforward and simple to administer, normally adults take a remedy once a week. Following your time at the retreat, you may choose to continue to see Piper in person in the Pemberton area or consult with her online via email or Skype.

Dr. Alex M. Chan, Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Alex Chan is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and helped initiate the First Certified Naturopathic Residency Program in BC at Integrative. She completed a two-year residency at Integrative before joining the clinic in full-time private practice and as the Residency Coordinator.
Dr. Chan received her Bachelors of Science in Cell Biology and Genetics at the University of British Columbia and is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
During her naturopathic degree, Dr. Chan was trained as a primary care physician with a background in conventional physiology and pharmacology as well as homeopathy, botanical, and physical medicine.
As a student, Dr. Chan was selected for a specialized cardiovascular and pulmonary mentorship where she deepened her understanding of these systems and associated conditions. She has a particular affinity for common chronic conditions such as fatigue, high blood pressure and type II diabetes, as well as special interests in pain therapy and structural modalities.
Dr. Chan recognized a need for integrative cancer care and has dedicated herself to gaining experience and specific training in the field of oncology. She uses the full range of services available at Integrative to treat her cancer patients including acupuncture, specific holistic nutrition, intravenous therapy, and mind-body medicine. Each patient receives a unique treatment protocol that is personally tailored and addresses both the cancer and the whole person. Dr. Chan has received additional training in advanced IV nutrition, neural prolotherapy, prolotherapy, applied kinesiology and manipulative techniques.
Dr. Landon McLean, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Landon McLean is a board-certified naturopathic doctor. His passion is in preventative health and nutrition with a focus on digestion, liver health, and stress management.
Dr. Landon McLean’s education started when attending the University of Waterloo Health Studies program, completing his honors bachelor of science in 2007. Over the period of earning his degree, he took many courses in health and nutrition. This allowed him to develop a solid base and passion for health promotion and clinical nutrition.
Dr. Landon firmly believes in the ability of prevention and education to act as tools to improve and empower your health and wellness.
Dr. Landon then began his studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2010. This 4-year degree gave Dr. Landon the tools he needed to help you restore your health and prevent further issues. He completed a one-year internship at the Robert Schad Clinic in Toronto ON, the largest naturopathic clinic in North America. He also completed a 4-month internship at an HIV/AIDS clinic in Toronto ON. He worked as a TA for the 2nd and 3rd-year health psych programs to help improve and sharpen his counseling skills. Dr. Landon completed his degree in 2014, becoming a licensed Naturopathic Doctor.
Dr. Landon has since been a Whistler resident of for 4 years now. With no intention of leaving anytime soon, he continues to explore all that the see to sky corridor has to offer.
Dr. Sarah Kennea, MBChB
Dr. Kennea graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2004 with an Honors degree in Immunology and Doctor of Medicine. After two years of post-graduate studies, she became certified in the field of Family Medicine.
Dr. Kennea began her medical career gaining a wide range of experience from emergency room to a researcher at Harvard. She worked in a busy full-service Family Practice in the North East of England before opening her own practice in Jersey in 2008.
In 2013, Dr. Kennea moved with her family to British Columbia and lives with her two children and husband in Whistler.
Dr. Kenne has pursued her interest in Cosmetic Dermatology since 2008. She constantly attends conferences and workshops most recently at a clinic in Liverpool delivering enhanced lip injections, bringing clinical Dermapen to Whistler, and introducing affordable therapeutic treatments of Belkyra for double chin.
Dr. Kennea is experienced in using the science of Botox and filler to enhance the art of beauty and has been instrumental in delivering Dermapen and PRP treatments to her clinic in the heart of Whistler village. She is a member of the Canadian Medical Association, the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia & The Canadian Association in Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr. Teresa Wood, MD BA CCFP
Dr. Teresa Wood, MD BA CCFP is a holistic medical doctor with a passion for balancing mental, physical, sexual and psycho-spiritual wellness. She trained in Philosophy at University of Chicago, and worked for years as a biomedical researcher while developing a program she called “Unlearning your Sex Education and Lovin’ it!” Her series of talks took her across North America helping people think about sex in a much more comfortable way, un-learning negative nuances of upbringing, trauma & fear, and enhancing the understanding of the brain’s need for sexual pleasure—and how to fulfill this in a positive way.
After more than a decade in this work, she took a break from writing & speaking to earn her MD at UBC in Vancouver, Canada. She subsequently completed a Medical Residency in Family Medicine, a 250-hour yoga teacher training and studied trigger point/dry needling under Dr. Peter Hansen.
As an MD, she has trained & worked in Vancouver, Victoria, Zimbabwe, Vanuatu, Northern & Coastal BC, the Yukon & NW Territories, and France. She loves learning from people of all walks of life and believes each person is responsible for their own health, seeking expert advice as needed to make educated choices for their unique journey on the planet.
She has called the Sea to Sky Corridor her home for 8 years and is excited that her twins are finally old enough to allow her to resume writing & offering entertaining talks, and re-opening her Coaching practice for the enhancement of sexual comfort & pleasure, for people of all genders.
